I like this turtle, but I think the coolest thing about it is that it uses the same base pattern as my octopus. The legs, head, tail, and underside plates use the same parts as each of the octopus's tentacles, and the shell is the a flattened out version of the octopus's torso.

The only problem I have with this pattern is that it requires a lot of inaccurate bends and tweaks to get the shape right. Getting a convincing curve on the shell and a good shape on the belly is quite difficult.
