This flower is one of the very first shapes I designed; the oldest one shown on this page. It conveniently forms a tight hole in the bottom which makes it ideal for plugging on to a stem. The stem and leaf were later developments. The leaf is a single square piece of paper, and the stem is a series of long rectangular strips which are rolled up into tubes.
