These were the first two origami human heads that I made. You may notice that their noses are both very flat, since the protruding ones are something I developed later. Their being stuck on posts is not a matter of me having a cruel streak; it's a matter of me having a lazy streak. It's much easier to stick shish kebab sticks through them than it would be to build a body for each one.
